Owner
After starting the business in 1991, Frauke continues to work every day she is in Kununurra. Her love of fine jewellery and unusual diamonds is evident across our stock. Frauke is responsible for the majority of the designing and purchasing. Her eye for detail also reflects in our large collection of unique giftware.

Manager
A long-term Kununurra local, Helen joined the KFD family part-time back in 2009 and has been the manager since 2013. Helen is trained in gemology and will continue her studies in the future as the business has evolved with the closure of the Argyle mine.

Master Jeweller
Local to Kununurra, born and bred, Percy commenced his career with KFD during work experience in high school in 2009. Percy enjoys working with all of our customers to help choose their perfect piece and making things come alive from the raw and precious materials.

Master Jeweller
Joe has recently returned to the KFD team after 8 years away pursuing other interests. It really seems to us that Joe never left. We are excited to have Joe in our team. His attention to detail, creativity and craftsmanship is second to none. He loves exploring the Kimberley and kayaking on the river in his spare time.

Apprentice Jeweller
Hannah, Frauke's 3rd grandchild has returned to her childhood home, Kununurra, to join our team as an apprentice jeweller. Hannah will study and learn on the job for 4 years in her family's business. When she is not working Hannah enjoys boating on Lake Kununurra with her dog.

Customer Service
Maria is Frauke's daughter. Kununurra born and bred, Maria started cleaning window displays at KFD when she was 8 years old. Since then she has trained in both Sydney and Europe in Diamond and Pearl grading. When not in the shop you can find Maria waterfalling with her young family or on the squash court.
We also have a number of staff, some seasonal, including Erin, Maddie, Trish, Helen J and Sue who share our passion and enjoy the blissful dry season weather during our busy time of the year, May to September.
