After starting the business in 1991, Frauke continues to work today everyday she is in Kununurra. Her love of fine jewellery and unusual diamonds is evident across our stock. Frauke is responsible for the majority of the designing and purchasing, Her eye for detail also reflects in our large collection of unique giftware.
A long term Kununurra local Helen joined the KFD family part time back in 2009 and has been the manager since 2013. Helen is trained in gemmology and will continue her studies in the future as the business evolves with the closure of the Argyle mine
A jeweller since he was 16, Mat is our longest standing jeweller working for KFD for 14+ years. Mat’s favourite part about working with jewellery is setting diamonds, he also enjoys helping customers fine tune their design to make it an extra special piece. When he is not out on the river chasing a barra you may find Mat training with his beloved Ord river Magpies.
Local to Kununurra, born and bred, Percy commenced his career with KFD during work experience in high school in 2009. Percy enjoys working with all of our customers to help choose their perfect piece and making things come alive from the raw and precious materials.
Joining our team shortly after moving here from Victoria in 2014, Shanae has a true love of diamonds and jewellery and can assist you with any purchase in store or online. She has become a member of the KFD family, returning after several overseas trips, another of Shanae’s passions.
Hailing from Germany like Frauke, Kat and husband Andy made Kununurra home in 2013, starting with KFD not long after. Kat has a fine eye for detail and has a true love for all things sparkly. Kat can be found attending our customers, when she is not running her own Nutrition business. She keeps our many German visitors happy being able to speak German with them.
We also have a number of seasonal staff, Trish, Karin and Cathy who share our passion and enjoy the blissful dry season weather during our busy time of the year, May to September.
